Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our software products are reliable, functional, and meet quality standards. You will be responsible for creating test plans, executing tests, debugging errors, and reporting issues to the development team.
Responsibilities
· Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
· Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
· Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities.
· Designing, developing, and executing automation scripts using open source tools and Katalon Studio
· Identifying, recording, documenting thoroughly, and tracking bugs.
· Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
· Developing and applying testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
· Liaising with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
· Monitoring debugging process results.
· Investigating the causes of non-conforming software and training users to implement solutions.
· Tracking quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
· Staying up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
· Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Salary varies depending on experience 75-80k

Required Skills & Experience
· 5+ years of experience as a Software QA tester
· Consistent work history - not job hoppy
· Strong experience with manual testing of web and mobile applications
· Exposure to automation testing (Katalon Studio preferred)
· 80% manual 20% automation
· Strong documentation experience
· Exposure to Test Flight (or similar platform)
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
· Experience in software QA methodology
· Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
· Working knowledge of test management software and SQL
· Excellent communication skills
· Attention to detail
· Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
Strong organizational skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Experience testing applications on smart TVs
· Katalon Studio
Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
