Job Description
Our client is seeking an ambitious Software Engineer III to be part of a core development group responsible for cutting-edge software solutions used internally by technology teams across the company. As a member of our team, you will be expected not only to have good knowledge of modern Java enterprise development and best practices. You will work towards becoming the “go to” person across the division for a set of technologies. Our group develops and maintains Java libraries for reading, writing, analyzing, transforming, and managing data in various formats in both on-premises and cloud environments. The libraries we create expedite and standardize the development of applications and microservices by our partner product technology teams. On our team, you are not developing with a framework- you are developing the framework! You will need excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to quickly comprehend new and unfamiliar APIs and software frameworks. You will be responsible for research, design, and software development assignments and will provide direct input to project plans and scheduling. You will also work with technologists on other teams to translate their needs into requirements and solutions.

Required Skills & Experience
5 years of Java Software Engineering experience (Version 8+)
Strong knowledge of Java object-oriented design and architectural principles. The ability to design and code to interfaces effectively. Experience with multithreaded code.
Strong data manipulation and data analysis skills.
Experience working with git.
Cloud-based development, particularly Azure experience
Strong English writing language skills
BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
