Job Description

Job Description:
• Serve as the primary onsite staffing and talent acquisition representative for a large-scale heavy civil engineering project in Belle Glade, Florida
• Partner with corporate TA and project leadership to identify staffing needs across trades, technical, and administrative roles
• Source, screen, and interview candidates for various onsite positions including laborers, equipment operators, foremen, engineers, and support staff
• Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates to meet project timelines and workforce demands
• Facilitate onsite onboarding including orientation, safety training coordination, and documentation collection
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment regulations
• Coordinate with HR and safety teams to ensure all hires meet project and company standards
• Monitor workforce levels and proactively address gaps or surpluses
• Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to forecast labor needs
• Track and report staffing metrics and hiring progress to leadership
• Build relationships with local workforce development agencies, trade schools, and subcontractors
• Support local hiring initiatives and diversity goals
• Manage relationships with third-party staffing vendors, ensuring alignment with project needs, compliance standards, and performance expectations
• Maintain accurate records of candidate activity, hiring status, and onboarding progress
• Prepare regular staffing reports and updates for project leadership
• Assist with timesheet collection, badging, and other personnel logistics as needed
• Proven experience in staffing or talent acquisition, preferably in construction or engineering environments
• Strong understanding of heavy civil project workflows and labor requirements
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, onsite environment

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:
• 2-3 years of staffing industry, Talent Acquisition, or recruitment experience
• Experience navigating conversations with candidates, such as qualifying, scheduling interview, hiring, and managing onboarding paperwork
• Experience working with HR to ensure a smooth onboarding process
• Strong communication

• Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree
