Production Design Lead

A client of Insight Global is looking for 3 Production Design Leads. The Design Leads will be responsible for confirming design interfaces with various disciplines, collaborating with the project team, and providing leadership for integrating all show elements. You'll partner with the dimensional design team, establish priorities, and direct Show Set vendors. Your role includes developing design drawings, confirming scope details, directing mock-up and staging efforts, and reporting on progress to team leadership. You'll oversee the design and production of Show Set elements, resolve conflicts, provide direction, and manage production and installation crews. Additionally, you'll leverage available resources, develop leadership skills, participate in peer reviews, and work collaboratively in a creative environment as a subject-matter expert in Show Set production. This will be primarily based in Florida with some local travel and minimal out of state travel (i.e. NY, MN)

5 years of production design experience
Great communication to work across all lines of business levels as well as vendors
Must have shop experience
Must be able to visit shops and review drawings
Hands on experience with any of the following: welding, carpentry, scenic painting, molding, sculpting, fiberglass, miniature model making skills.
Must have an understanding of materials and their limitations

3D software program experience (blender, maya, 3Ds max, zbrush)
