Job Description
The MyChart Bedside Analyst is responsible for supporting the implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of Epic MyChart Bedside functionality, with additional support for Clinical Documentation (Clin Doc) workflows. This role partners closely with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to ensure inpatient-facing tools align with clinical documentation standards, support patient engagement, and meet organizational objectives.
The analyst will contribute to system configuration, issue resolution, workflow analysis, and end-user support while adhering to Epic best practices and healthcare regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
MyChart Bedside Support
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Epic MyChart Bedside, supporting inpatient-facing functionality and workflows
• Assist with system configuration, testing, and validation of MyChart Bedside features
• Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional system design
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, escalating when necessary and documenting resolutions
• Participate in upgrades, enhancements, and optimization initiatives related to MyChart Bedside
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), integrated testing, and go-live activities as needed
• Develop and maintain documentation, including workflow diagrams, build specifications, and support materials
Clinical Documentation (Clin Doc) Support
• Assist with Epic Clinical Documentation (Clin Doc) configurations and workflow support
• Partner with nursing and clinical leadership to ensure documentation tools align with clinical practice and regulatory requirements
• Support documentation standards, templates, and tools to promote accurate and efficient clinical documentation
• Analyze and address documentation-related issues impacting workflow, quality, or compliance
• Collaborate with other Epic application teams to support integrated documentation workflows
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including clinicians, informatics, trainers, and other Epic analysts
- Facilitate discussions to identify gaps, improvement opportunities, and system enhancements
- Provide clear communication on issues, timelines, and resolutions to stakeholders
- Support knowledge transfer and assist with training materials or end-user education as needed
