Job Description

Responsibilities:
This Systems Administrator configures, installs, and maintains the software asset management tool, to ensure reliability, security, and performance of the IT infrastructure that supports the enterprise operations.
1. Implements, installs, configures, and maintains enterprise operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of the software asset management tool and business processes.
2. Performs enterprise software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
3. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with OCIOs established IT policies and procedures of the software asset management tool.
4. Monitors and tunes the software asset management tool to achieve optimum performance levels. Ensures workstations/servers data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions for the asset management tool.
5. Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations to secure the software asset management tool.
6. Develops and promotes standard operating procedures are followed.
7. Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines for the enterprise.
8. Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library for the software asset management tools supporting documentation and stores it on the team's internal website.
9. Briefs leadership in a timely manner either in writing or in daily/weekly meetings.
10. Works independently or with a team when needed.

Required Skills & Experience

- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information technology, or related field\
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in system administration.
- ITIL Certification
- Atlassian (JIRA) Certification
