Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a Top Secret cleared Senior Network Security Engineer in the Washington, DC area. Responsibilities include:
• Plans, coordinates, and implements the organization’s information security.
• Analyzes requirements and potential solutions for technical and economic feasibility.
• Design optimized firewall and IPS rule structure and ensures standards are maintained.
• Monitors and maintains health of all firewalls/IPS and recommends improvements.
• Develops and maintains documentation of firewall/IPS procedures.
• Develops and maintains complex schematics relating to network security.
• Researches, evaluates, recommends, designs, tests, and implements new network security technologies.
• Displays expert knowledge of current security tools and practices.
• Under general guidance, provides support to network engineers.

Compensation:
$65.00/hr to $70.00/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

- Active Top-Secret Clearance is required, with the ability to obtain SCI
- 10+ years of professional IT experience (LCAT requirement)
- Strong Network Engineering experience with IPS and Firewall technologies
- Strong hands-on experience at least 3-4 of the following technologies:
o Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) – upgrade, licensing, maintenance, and deployment – Strongly Preferred
o Cisco migration from ASA to Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) mode – Strongly Preferred
o Cisco Firepower (also branded as Cisco Secure Firewall) – upgrade, maintenance, and deployment
o Cisco 802.1X – ongoing deployment
o DMVPN design and deployment, compliant with CNSSP-15
o Juniper ADVPN
- Good working understanding of the following routing protocols:
o OSPF
o EIGRP
o BGP

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field
- One of the following certifications (in order of preference): CCNP Security, CCNP Enterprise (Routing & Switching), CCDP
