Job Description
This role is responsible for the reliability, performance, security, and continuous improvement of the firm’s SharePoint and Web Application platforms, operating across on premises and Azure cloud environments.
The engineer operates at third line support, resolving complex platform issues and ensuring long term service stability through proactive engineering, automation, and continuous improvement. The role is hands on and delivery focused, covering platform lifecycle management for business critical, globally consumed services.
This role is primarily aligned to SharePoint and Web Application platform engineering, with SQL Server and Azure SQL experience considered a beneficial complementary skillset rather than a primary focus, supporting resilient application back ends and broader platform and cloud modernization initiatives where appropriate.
Success in this role is measured by platform stability, fault avoidance, secure operations, service performance, and efficient change delivery.
Targeting $50-$80 an hour

Required Skills & Experience
Provide third‑line escalation support for SharePoint and Web platforms, with supporting expertise in SQL database services where required
• Own the operational health of assigned platforms, ensuring availability, performance, resilience, and security targets are met
• Perform deep technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and permanent remediation of issues escalated by support teams
• Proactively monitor environments, identify risks, and implement preventative improvements
• Deliver platform upgrades, migrations, releases, and deployments in line with change, release, and governance processes
• Drive automation and standardisation using PowerShell to reduce operational overhead and improve reliability
• Collaborate with Business Services, Design, Infrastructure, Security, and Vendor teams to support delivery in a fast changing environment
• Participate in an on call rota for the Data, Messaging and Collaboration Team
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, CMDB records, runbooks, and knowledge articles
