Job Description

• Develop strong working relationships with client points of contact, government agencies, contractors, and consultants.
• Support extensively in pre-construction coordination, including design reviews, value engineering sessions, permitting processes, and community engagement meetings.
• Assist in the review of project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates.
• Interact daily with clients to interpret their needs and requirements, consistently representing the Owner’s interests in meetings and in the field.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel performance) and report regularly on project status.
• Prepare and submit project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during design or construction.
Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with owners’ policies, procedures, and industry standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management or a similar role.
• Experience working with K-12 school projects or University projects
• Experience working on the owners representative side for projects over 10 million
• Willing to relocate to the US Virgin Islands for 2-3 years
• Extensive knowledge of design and construction processes, methods, materials, and regulations.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor project teams.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-faceted team environment.
Pluses:
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or other relevant certifications is a plus.
• Experience with projects using federal funding
FEMA is a huge plus
