Job Description

Overview: Insight Global is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to serve as the top hands-on security resource for a hospital in DC.

This is a foundational role responsible for owning security end-to-end while helping modernize a legacy healthcare environment. The role requires a balance of security operations and forward-looking engineering and architecture, supporting a hybrid environment consisting of on-prem infrastructure, Azure, and Office 365.

This individual must function as both a senior engineer and security architect, with the ability to design, build, configure, and implement security solutions directly within the environment.

Responsibilities:
• Own security operations end-to-end including alerting, investigations, and incident response
• Lead the full vulnerability management lifecycle from scanning through remediation
• Design, configure, and optimize:
○ SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel)
○ EDR/XDR platforms
○ Network security and firewall controls
• Implement and manage identity and access controls including IAM, MFA, and PAM solutions
• Lead security architecture and modernization initiatives across hybrid environments
• Establish and maintain security standards aligned to HIPAA, NIST, and other frameworks
• Build dashboards, automation, and scalable security processes
• Partner with IT and infrastructure teams while maintaining architectural ownership
