Job Description

The Technical Service Representative is responsible for managing and executing service delivery under the DC Government citywide electronic security contract. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with contract oversight, compliance management, and performance accountability.



This position serves as a technical representative for DC Government agencies, ensuring that access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems are maintained in accordance with contract SLAs, security standards, and regulatory requirements.



Key Responsibilities

Technical experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems

Manage preventative maintenance schedules, ensure standard response times are met, and emergency response in accordance with contractual SLAs

Serve as technical rep for DC Government agencies under the citywide security contract

Participate in agency meetings and provide service updates and performance reporting

Support contract renewals, modifications, and pricing requests.

Technical Oversight & Execution

Ensure systems are configured and maintained in accordance with District security requirements

Review and interpret project drawings, riser diagrams, and system schematics

Assist with system upgrades, expansions, and lifecycle replacements

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure work complies with DC Government procurement standards and security regulations

Maintain accurate service documentation, asset tracking, and change log

Support audits, inspections, and performance reviews

Experience supporting enterprise-level security platforms such as: RS2 & Genetec

Video management systems (e.g., Milestone Systems)

Intrusion systems (e.g., DMP)

IP-based security infrastructure and network fundamentals

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in electronic security systems

Experience supporting enterprise level access control and security systems (DC experience strongly preferred)

Strong understanding of Microsoft Word & Excel.

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Ability to pass required background checks and obtain government clearances
