Maintain knowledge of all applicable quality control standards, including, but not limited to ISO 9000, OSHA, USACE EM 385-1-1, and various design and construction standards.
Maintain a complete and thorough knowledge of contract requirements regarding quality and safety.
Interface with the Owner, Architect and Engineering, Third Party Testing, Commissioning and AHJ and Contractor teams to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
Prepare reports using the already developed client reporting features including customized Scope Specific Checklists [SSCs] and building code related interior wall-ceiling close-in forms as required resulting from observations & inspections of targeted building-site features during regular field visits and meetings.
Understand and continue developing/refining/improving successive versions of client internal Quality Management Plan [QMP] document as necessary to meet client design & construction program execution needs as needed.
Conduct when necessary, Root Cause Analyses on program/project issues resulting in negative or poor performance/product deliverables.
Understand barriers to compliance and the ability to facilitate resolution of non-compliances.
Have experience in evaluating measures for their potential effectiveness in managing ongoing work, and determining whether measures are being collected, analyzed, and used.
Participate in management and technical reviews of services/products and identify quality and design-construction process concerns.
Participate in and lead, when necessary, Biweekly-monthly QC meetings for wide range of MODS & Small Caps projects in construction that cover open-outstanding QC issues/deficiencies being tracked by various stakeholders including Architect-Engineer & 3rd party AHJs. Collect/process related experience to support future improvement of design-construction processes, quality, and process execution.
Understand QA principles and practices, including setting quality goals and objectives, auditing, assessing process compliance, evaluating plans and software work products, assessing quality risks and issues, evaluating tradeoffs and balancing quality concerns against customer needs and project commitments.
Develop and establish standardized engineering and business practices within the Quality Control Program.
Have familiarity with quality principles and techniques, knowledge and experience in planning QA activities, conducting objective evaluations of activities and work products from management and the work force, reviewing plans and other work products
Evaluate service/product requirements against plans and performance.
Conduct on-site Quality Assurance Workmanship audits and verification of contractors testing & inspections process.
Maintain and track all Program Corrective Action Issues to closure associated with individual projects in execution phase.
Conduct project/product performance trend analyses to identify potential and or real issues of poor product and or service.
Maintain the status of all tasks through regular meetings or correspondence with Supervisors, Key Personnel, and Contractors.
Demonstrate effective oral and written communication of field observations recorded via detailed site visit reports that are able to identify issues/deficiencies/non conformances and provide recommended solutions.
Supervisory responsibilities will be required for this position
Review and approve QC plans submitted by Contractor/Design build [DB] teams to ensure conformance with owner stipulations. And to ensure that the requirements for QC Plan contents as outlined are heeded.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management or related
Minimum 7 years experience in a Quality Control Role
Ability and willingness to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
Be a team player, effective communicator and solution-driven
Commercial experience with MEP systems in a large construction project
Masters degree in architecture, construction management, engineering or related
Experience or working knowledge of requirements of Net Zero Energy and LEED Gold and platinum projects
School experience is a plus
PE/Architecture licensure is preferred
