Position: Nurse Manager

Duration: permanent - 20%
PR: $100,000k - $165,000k
Shift: M-F 9 am - 5 pm (flexibility with start time)
• As a manager, this candidate needs to have flexibility for nights and weekends
• No holiday expectations
Interview Process:
• 1st round: 30 minute Zoom interview
• 2nd round: On-Site interview: conversational, meet the team, and tour of facility

Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Insight Global is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to support Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, a new, full-service hospital in Ward 8, Washington, D.C., including 136 beds, providing advanced care, including trauma, emergency, maternal, and pediatric services, to underserved communities east of the Anacostia River. This candidate will be working within the Behavioral Health Department at Cedar Hill.

Responsibilities Include:
• Directs the activities of the nursing staff members, including scheduling the daily nursing tasks for the department and providing guidance on operational procedures and patient care.
• Provides direct patient care, following the nursing process and holistic conceptual framework in the development of nursing care plans.

Required Skills & Experience

Requirements:
• DC Licensure.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• At least 5 years of nursing experience within an acute care hospital setting.
○ No long term care.
• 2 years of Leadership experience.
○ Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices.
• Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others’ activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.

Preferred:
• Psych RN experience preferred.

Other Notes:
• Reporting Into: dotted lines between the Chief Nursing Officer at PIW, Chief Nursing Medical Liaison at Cedar Hill and the Director of Nursing at Cedar Hill.
• Ideal Candidate: interactive, hands-on, 5-6 YOE, behavioral health or psych experience
