Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Develop shipbuilding specifications, engineering drawings, and acquisition documentation for new vessels and SLEP initiatives.
Conduct structural analyses and load calculations to ensure compliance with industry and government standards.
Assess the weight impact of engineering changes and modifications.
Perform hydrostatic calculations including weight estimates and stability assessments.
Provide technical support and perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering required.
Masters degree in a related field strongly preferred.
Degrees in Ocean, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering may be considered with at least two years of experience in marine structures.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in vessel design, construction, or repair, with a focus on marine engineering/naval architecture.
At least 2 years of experience performing structural calculations for ships or marine structures.
Demonstrated experience in detailed design and analysis of marine structures outside of academic settings.
Experience with high-speed planning craft design is highly desirable
