Job Description

A global electronics and semi-conductor manufacturing company is seeking a strong SSO Consultant to support a large-scale application migration initiative, encompassing hundreds of applications as the environment transitions toward SaaS and cloud-based platforms. This role sits on the application side of the house and acts as the key bridge between application owners, vendors, and an infrastructure team responsible for final SSO configuration.
The SSO Consultant will work directly with application teams—many of whom have limited or no understanding of Single Sign-On—to determine whether SSO is required, which protocol is appropriate, and what application-side details are needed to enable successful integration with Microsoft Entra ID. The consultant will gather, validate, and translate application-specific SSO requirements and then hand them off to the technical identity team for implementation.
This is a hands-on, consultative role that requires strong knowledge of SSO from the application perspective, including working with SaaS vendors (e.g., Salesforce) and enterprise platforms (e.g., ServiceNow). The ideal candidate understands both infrastructure and applications, but does not need to perform the actual Entra ID configuration.
This is a fully remote, U.S.-based contract role, starting ASAP, with an initial duration of 6 months and potential for extension based on performance.

Key Responsibilities
• Act as the primary SSO point of contact for application owners during application migration efforts
• Assess application SSO requirements and determine the appropriate authentication approach (SAML preferred; OAuth/OpenID Connect as alternatives)
• Work with application owners to gather required SSO metadata and configuration details from the application side
• Engage directly with SaaS vendors and third-party application providers to coordinate SSO enablement
• Translate application requirements into clear, actionable inputs for the centralized identity/infra team responsible for Entra ID configuration
• Educate non-technical application owners on SSO concepts, expectations, and required inputs
• Support SSO integrations for enterprise applications such as Salesforce and ServiceNow
Help define and refine a repeatable SSO intake and setup process as application volume increases

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience enabling SSO from the application side, not just infrastructure or identity configuration
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID SSO concepts
• Practical experience with SAML-based SSO (preferred), with exposure to OAuth 2.0 and/or OpenID Connect
• Experience working directly with application owners and SaaS vendors to enable SSO
• Ability to clearly explain SSO concepts to non-technical stakeholders and guide them through required inputs
• Understanding of how SSO functions within both application and infrastructure contexts
Experience supporting enterprise applications such as Salesforce and/or ServiceNow

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Background in server support, identity, or infrastructure teams
Experience operating in environments with hundreds of applications and high SSO demand
