Job Description

One of Insight Global's largest pediatric healthcare clients is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Quality Assurance Supervisor to join their laboratory group at the main hospital in Wilmington, DE. This person will ideally specialize in blood bank operations and ensure compliance with CAP, AABB, and CLIA standards (among others) by leading inspection readiness, managing quality systems, and working hands-on with technologists and inspectors during audits. This role oversees document control, competency programs, and corrective actions, while maintaining a strong floor presence to guide workflows, validate processes, and resolve issues in real time. The supervisor drives continuous improvement, supports training, and serves as the primary liaison during inspections to uphold patient safety and regulatory excellence. This candidate will have a hand in preparing the laboratory for upcoming expansion this year and will be expected to serve as the subject matter expert for inspections and regulatory guidelines.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree.
5+ years of experience as a Blood Bank Technologist or Generalist with specialization in Blood Banking.
Thorough knowledge of inspection process & laboratory guidelines (ex/ CAP, CLIA, COLA, AABB)
Excellent communication skills, ability to articulate guidelines and processes between techs and leadership.
Previous experience serving as point person for inspections via CAP, CLIA, COLA, JCo, or additional clinical laboratory guidelines.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Leadership or supervisory level experience.

Senior or Lead Blood Bank experience.
