Job Description

A global manufacturing company is seeking a strong Project Manager to support ongoing IT Digital Transformation projects within one of their most lucrative business units! This individual will assist in project planning and execution, tracking project progress, and ensuring that the project is delivered on time and within budget. Additionally, they will be responsible for supporting project leaders in various tasks such as gathering project requirements and communicating project status updates to executive leadership. As the Junior PM, this individual will oversee up to 2 projects at a time and will play a key role in organizing efforts between cross-functional IT and business teams to ensure project goals are met. The ideal candidate should have proven experience working as a Project Manager in a large, enterprise environment and should have the ability to adapt to a highly matrixed organization. Additionally, this candidate should demonstrate that they are proactive and can drive action and be a proactive communicator. This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity that requires 1-2 days a week onsite in Wilmington, DE.

Additional Details Include:
- Assisting in planning projects from start to finish by developing project plans, resources and tracking tools.
- Communicating with project team and stakeholders to ensure the project is on track and issues are resolved.
- Monitoring project progress and identify potential risks, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Gathering and documenting project requirements and communicate with all stakeholders.
- Facilitating project meetings, documenting meeting minutes, and creating status reports. - Track project budget and schedule, and ensure project deliverables are produced on-time
- Managing project documentation such as project schedule, budget, and risk management plan

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of experience in Project Management
- Experience supporting IT and/or Digital Transformation initiatives
- Experience working with enterprise project management tools (Jira, MS Project, etc.)
- Strong experience with MS Office Suite (Excel and PPT)
- Ability to navigate project deliverables and scope
- Excellent communication, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proactive mindset, the ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Experience working in an enterprise, team-oriented environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience supporting projects related to Manufacturing applications
- Experience with Planview
