Job Description
Establish and lead our U.S. business from zero to scale—owning U.S. P&L, setting the go-to-market (Amazon first, then own webshop), building the team and operational backbone, and ensuring compliant, profitable growth.
Scope & Responsibilities
• Strategy & P&L Ownership: Define the 24-month market entry plan (go-to market, performance marketing, pricing, category management, channels, brand positioning). Anchor early traction on Amazon given U.S. marketplace scale
• Supply Chain, Fulfillment & Customer Service: Steer inbound logistics (factory→3PL→FBA/DTC), select/contract 3PLs, set SLAs, and own S&OP. Interface with Global Forwarding for forecasts, lead times, budgets, and customs
• Channel Execution: Build Amazon playbooks (assortment, media, pricing), evaluate additional marketplaces/retail partnerships; stage DTC rollout when economics and brand readiness allow
• Organization & Leadership: Hire and develop a lean, high caliber U.S. team (Marketplace, Performance Marketing, Ops/CS), clarify interfaces with EU HQ (Product development, Comms, Finance, IT etc.) and purchasing unit in China
• Data & Governance: Stand up reporting cadence (GMV, margin, on time delivery, NPS) and risk controls
12–24 Month Outcomes
• Month 6: gain traction on amazon, webshop live and working seamlessly, 3PL/FBA operational, early reviews accumulating
• Month 12: Profitable Amazon run rate with stable ACOS/CM margin; OTIF >95%; foundational team (focused on marketing, assortment, operations) hired
• Month 24: Omnichannel expansion plan validated (second marketplace/retail partner or DTC MVP), U.S. P\&L positive
