Job Description

Insight Global's client, a company located in Newark, DE, is seeking to hire an experienced Engineer to join their team. This is a permanent, full-time position with a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office, 2 days remote) from 8am to 4:30pm.







About the Role:



The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical, mechanical, environmental or hydraulic engineering and project management experience with a proven track record of successful project leadership and execution in a technical engineering environment.







Responsibilities:



The Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing engineering investigations, design, permitting, financial project management, and construction management for various water and wastewater facilities, including:



Surface and ground water supply

Water treatment

Pumping and distribution facilities

Wastewater collection, pumping, transmission, treatment, and disposal facilities





The engineer will study alternatives, conduct feasibility studies, and provide recommendations and engineering estimates for capital projects to improve facilities and system operations. They will also financially review and manage assigned capital projects on a weekly basis, and provide technical assistance on capital projects involving multiple departments, serving as a technical resource for other members of the Engineering Group and company departments as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

BS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field

5+ years of experience in the water/wastewater industry as an engineer in one of the following areas: mechanical, electrical, environmental, or hydraulic

Proven track record of successful project leadership and execution in a technical engineering environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

PE (Professional Engineer) license

Experience in the manufacturing world with the types of electrical and mechanical equipment used by the company, such as pumps, motors, electrical starters, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), valves, flow meters, flow control devices, or water/wastewater treatment equipment

Project management experience managing a project from inception through startup and operation
