Job Description

We are looking for a BI Developer to support the pursuit to increase organizational scalability of commercial operations through effective decision making, based on improved access to data from our source Azure Modern Data Estate. In this role, you will join the Analytics team with the expectation of having strong expertise in Power BI Development (reports/dashboards), along with a deep understanding of Data Modeling in an Azure Modern Data Estate architecture that leverages a medallion architecture managed via Databricks. You will also have strong business analytical skills thereby converting solution objectives into effective, well-written scope and requirements documents, technical design specifications, and test results documents. Experience in one or more of the following functional business areas is a must: Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales and Marketing.
Responsibilities
Work closely with functional teams in areas such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales and Marketing to understand and clearly document business processes and requirements (solid Business Analytical skills).
Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and business/functional teams to define business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using Power BI in an Azure MDE environment.
Train and upskill fellow Analytics team mates on Power BI development through effective knowledge transfer and consultation as needed.
Create effective data driven insights (KPIs, Metrics, etc.) via Power BI reports, dashboards, visualizations.
Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Very detail-oriented, with a strong ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into technical requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum of 8-10+ years experience in Power BI development in an Azure Modern Data Estate architecture. Expert level Power BI development experience is a must.
Experience working in a formal change management environment and maintaining reports and dashboards throughout their lifecycle.
Evidence of robust practices for data & analytics documentation.
SQL experience in a Databricks managed, medallion architecture.
Strong BA skills - experience communicating w/ business/functional areas, help guide the business

o Experience with coaching less experienced Developers is a huge plus
