Job Description

Our State Agency client is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to join its growing internal technology team following a large-scale Salesforce modernization initiative. The agency recently partnered with an implementation vendor to migrate and modernize critical business applications onto the Salesforce platform and is now building an in-house team to support the long-term success of the environment. This individual will be responsible for the ongoing development, enhancement, maintenance, and support of Salesforce applications while ensuring platform stability, security, and alignment with evolving business needs. The Salesforce Developer will design and implement new functionality, manage system upgrades and enhancements, support integrations, address production issues, perform code reviews, and execute Salesforce-mandated releases and patches. The role will also be responsible for platform administration activities, including user access management, security configuration, data management, system monitoring, and compliance reviews. The ideal candidate will possess strong Salesforce development experience across Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and declarative tools, along with a deep understanding of Salesforce security, governance, and best practices. This position will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to deliver scalable solutions, improve operational efficiency, and maintain a secure and high-performing Salesforce ecosystem that supports the agency's mission-critical services.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of Salesforce development experience
Hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and/or Salesforce Flows
Experience supporting Salesforce production environments, upgrades, releases, and patch management
Knowledge of Salesforce security models, role hierarchies, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules
Experience troubleshooting production issues and supporting application maintenance activities
