Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join a manufacturing company based in West Hartford, CT. The Supplier Quality Engineer will have oversight of developing and implementing a Supplier Quality Program and ensuring all suppliers follow the process to drive production efficiency and minimize cost of poor supplier quality. In this role, this individual will collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Continuous Improvement to ensure best in class supplier quality for new product introduction and manufacturing. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

-Conduct supplier audits, surveys, and facility assessments for compliance with ISO/AS9100 and contractual requirements.

-Perform supplier qualifications, performance monitoring, and development activities.

-Review and document First Article Inspections (FAIs).

-Investigate supplier defects and drive root cause/corrective action.

-Maintain supplier approval and rating systems to support procurement decisions.

-Coordinate Supplier Manufacturing Readiness Reviews and manage Supplier Requests for Variance.

-Act as the primary interface with suppliers to resolve technical issues.

-Collect and analyze supplier performance data and implement improvement plans

Required Skills & Experience

-Supplier Quality Engineering experience in the aerospace/ defense industry.

-Hands-on experience with supplier audits, First Article Inspections (FAIs), supplier assessments, and corrective action processes.

-Strong knowledge of ISO/AS9100 standards and GD&T experience required

-Bachelors, Mechanical Engineering OR Computer Sciences
