RF Emissions/EME Documents: Knowledgeable with RF emissions and EME documents.
Vendor Interaction: Potential work with vendors.
Closeout Packages: Reviewing closeout packages for projects to ensure sites are built to RF design specifications. This involves taking a project through its lifecycle, creating Customer Questionnaires (CQs), and reviewing final reports and pictures when the site comes on air.
CQ Translations: Creating CQ templates and working with Network Assurance and Transport Engineering teams to ensure these translations are built correctly in the system.
Technical Drawing Understanding: Understanding of RFDS nuances (antennas, cables, radios).
Communication: Strong, concise, and detailed-oriented communication is crucial. The candidate should ask clarifying questions but not out of a lack of knowledge.
Experience: A minimum of three years of RF design experience is required.
Regulatory Filings (Beneficial): Understanding of FCC/FAA filings is beneficial, though another team handles most of these. The engineer may need to work with that team if issues arise.
