Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a full-service engineering consulting company located in Plainville, CT. The role is 100% on-site and will initially require 5 days a week on-site with the possibility of hybrid work later on. The ideal candidate should have 0-5 years of experience within accounting principles, and a drive to succeed.

Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with preparing A/R statements, transactional data entry, and A/R collections when needed.
- Processing vendor invoices and assists with payment processing.
- Assisting in the preparation of client billings and maintains billing and accounts payable files.
- Performing other work as apparent or assigned by the leadership of the Finance Group.
- Working safely and abiding by the firm's policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

- Working knowledge of Excel
- Strong background in all Microsoft platforms

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- BS/BA in Accounting/Finance or related field
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High energy & can-do attitude
- Creative, out of the box approach while advancing initiatives.
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous work in accounting data entry is a plus.
- Ability to multitask well and work within a team environment.
