Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our client in Plainville, Connecticut. The role supports Connecticut projects, with a strong focus on designing and executing remediation efforts locally. Candidates should have experience managing subcontractors during fieldwork and possess strong technical writing, data analysis, and reporting skills. Familiarity with CT RSRs, ASTM protocols, and HAZWOPER training is preferred, along with proficiency in Word, Excel, and tools like EQuIS, EnviroInsite, or GIS. The position includes involvement in a long-term Superfund sediment remediation project in a large water body network. While full project management is not required, the candidate should be capable of managing tasks, clients, budgets, and scopes. Experience with permitting processes and working collaboratively in teams to drive remediation strategies is highly valued.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related)
- 2–10 years in environmental consulting/remediation
- Experience managing subcontractors (e.g., drillers, surveyors) during fieldwork
- Strong technical writing, data analysis, and reporting
- Proficiency in Word and Excel
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with EPA or Superfund projects
- Involvement in sediment remediation and permitting (local/state/federal)
- Experience with EQuIS, EnviroInsite, GIS
- Professional Engineering license (preferred)
