Job Description

A leading estate planning firm based in Norwalk, CT, is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Estate Planning Administrator to join our team. This role is customer forward, with a strong focus on understanding and addressing the complex needs of our estate planning clients. The ideal candidate will have a background in Estate and Finance, with a keen ability to guide clients through our consultative planning process supported by a knowledge base in the financial aspects of Estates.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, conducting consultations to assess their estate planning needs and providing expert advice.
• Help Draft estate plan documents, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, and deeds using our proprietary software.
• Review and amend existing estate planning documents and assist in the funding of trusts.
• Coordinate and manage the preparation and administration of estate planning documents and trust processes.
• Collect and analyze data regarding clients’ assets, including savings accounts, investments, and real estate holdings.
• Work closely with the Senior Paralegal to manage files, workflow, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of client interactions and case statuses.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (law, finance, business) preferred.
• Paralegal certification or associate’s degree in paralegal studies preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in estate law, legal drafting, or financial planning preferred.
• Strong understanding of estate planning, insurance, retirement, and investment principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal and financial concepts to clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe.
• Experience with case management software is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to client needs.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
