Senior Business Analyst

Insight Global is looking for a REMOTE 9 month contract Senior Business Analyst for a client in New Haven, CT. This role will play a pivotal role in driving research data modernization. This position is responsible for leading stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering across faculty, library, technology, and AI domains, as well as analyzing workflows and documenting system integrations. The analyst will develop business cases, project charters, and project plans, and will assess feasibility, risks, and resource needs for proposed solutions. Day-to-day, approximately 30% of time will be spent engaging stakeholders and gathering requirements, 25% on documentation and analysis, 20% coordinating project planning, 15% preparing reports and communicating with leadership, and 10% supporting governance and compliance. The role requires strong collaboration with project managers, technical teams, and subject matter experts to ensure alignment and timely delivery, while also preparing executive summaries and supporting data governance throughout the project lifecycle.

Must-haves
-5-7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a higher education setting and/or research and data environment. (ideally both)
-Ability to deal with ambiguity (the project of the client they will be supporting is ever evolving.)
-Bachelor's degree
