Job Description

A large university client is looking for an IT Project Manager to work remotely. This PM will join the Library PMO team and be working underneath the Sr. Project Manager. This IT PM will manage and oversee all aspects of a moderately complex technology project to ensure they are completed on-time and within budget, will have overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing and outside vendors, and contractual deliverables, and will prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project. Specifically, this PM will coordinate the delivery and implementation of the Library's Services Platform (LSP) migration, moving from Voyager, the library's current enterprise system, to Alma, the next generation library system. On a day-to-day basis, they will assist in the creation and maintenance of a project plan, be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the efforts of all stakeholders involved in the migration process, establish and maintain multiple project management platforms and facilitate project communication for the library, vendor and other parties. This PM must be able to estimate, project control, have structured project management methods, excellent communication skills, flexibility and understanding of data migration, software build and QA processes. This position is preferably hybrid and remote work may require biannual travel to New Haven, CT (priority will be given to candidates within driving distance of New Haven, CT).

Required Skills & Experience

* 4-6 years of experiencing managing high-level, high-visibility IT projects in a large enterprise environment

* Comprehensive understanding of IT applications, processes, software, and equipment

* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

* Strong interpersonal communication along with written, communication, presentation, and organizational skills

* Bachelor's degree in a related field

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* PMP or CSM certifications

* Higher education experience

* Library experience
