A banking employer is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join their team in Middletown, CT. This can be a remote position aligned to EST for the right candidate. The client is looking to modernize and upgrade their existing network and hardware. They are currently in the process of evaluating the state of the entire existing network to understand if the current hardware has additional capacity. The Sr Network Engineer will be involved in the evaluation of the existing hardware and network, and be responsible for creating a comprehensive roadmap for modernization and upgrade to meet business goals and objectives. They will be responsible for the review, design, and possibly part of the implementation for this network modernization process. They will need to evaluate and understand the needs of the company in order to prioritize tools and technologies to prioritize security, reliability, and performance. They will be responsible for developing the network architecture plans and design for both existing and upgraded networks including SD WAN. This person will work with stakeholders to understand the needs and make recommendations on the path forward for network modernization. They will look at the existing design and help plan for the future while understanding future technology goals of the organization and how the upgraded network will fit into these goals throughout the journey.
