Job Description
A banking employer is looking for a Network Engineer to join their team onsite in Middletown, CT five days per week. This position will focus heavily on IT infrastructure support and assisting with several ongoing projects, including upgrading legacy hardware and software systems. On a day-to-day basis, the Network Engineer will be responsible for configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points; monitoring network performance and troubleshooting connectivity issues; implementing security protocols and ensuring compliance with company standards; and documenting network changes and configurations. The role also involves collaborating closely with internal teams to provide hands-on technical support, assist with system migrations, and ensure minimal downtime during upgrades. Being on-site is essential, as much of the work requires real-time coordination and physical access to equipment.

Required Skills & Experience
3-10 years of experience as a Network Engineer
Proven experience in network engineering, including hardware and software upgrades
Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, protocols, and security best practices
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues independently
Familiar with Software Defined Wide Area Network (SDWAN)
Experience with security tools and content filtering
