Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Operations Supervisor for a top aerospace manufacturing client. This individual will oversee day-to-day shop floor operations, leading production teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments, partners closely with Quality and Engineering, and drives continuous improvement through Lean principles. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on operational excellence while developing and leading high-performing teams in a regulated aerospace.

Day to Day:
Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets
Assign work, set expectations, and remove real-time production roadblocks
Ensure adherence to company policies and aerospace regulatory standards
Monitor production metrics, labor utilization, and KPIs; communicate status and risks
Partner with Quality and Engineering to resolve nonconformances and implement corrective actions
Support workforce planning including scheduling, staffing alignment, and overtime management
Champion Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives
Lead safety and EHS practices while maintaining a clean, organized shop floor
Contribute to projects focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and operational performance

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of supervisory experience with direct reports in a manufacturing environment
Aerospace or aviation manufacturing experience
Strong shop-floor leadership and production planning background
Experience ensuring compliance with FAA, AS9100, and customer requirements
Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP or similar)
Proven ability to coach, hold teams accountable, and develop talent
Strong problem-solving skills with root-cause analysis experience
Ability to track and report KPIs, labor utilization, and production output
Effective cross-functional communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field
Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement experience
Lean Six Sigma certification or practical application
Experience in composite manufacturing environments
Familiarity with ITAR requirements
