Job Description
A Property & Casualty client is looking for an IT Program Manager to join their team in Hartford, CT. This will be a hybrid position, requiring the IT Program Manager to be on-site three times per week. The IT Program Manager will be responsible for managing and planning complex programs and projects with regards to time, budget, and scope, and ensure quality, time, and budget objectives are met. They will need to effectively plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the program and/or projects. The IT Program Manager will need to take accountability for the definition, documentation, and successful completion of assigned program and projects. The IT Program Manager will help lead the company's journey to further their usage of Agile and promote agile transformation across the program/projects they are running. They will oversee a mix of both application development and IT infrastructure related projects from inception to successful implementation by driving the project objectives, scope, and strategies. This will include the necessary creation of status reporting at the program level, and working across all facets of the IT development lifecycle for the projects. There is a high likelihood that this IT Program Manager will be tasked with oversight on the legacy program which entails replacing legacy systems and spans across multiple business units of the company. The ideal resource should have exemplary communication skills, be self-motivated, and come in with the ability to hit the ground running.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience as a Sr IT Project Manager and/or IT Program Manager
IT leadership background with both application development and IT infrastructure background
Experience using tools such as MS Project, Planview, and/or Clarity for project tracking and planning
Strong experience with Agile including Agile certification(s)
Experience working with software vendors, onshore and offshore teams, and executive leadership
Experience with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, and/or Rally
