Job Description

We are seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to support a team within a large Health Insurance organization. You will contribute to both ad-hoc requests as well as longer term projects, as well as helping to mentor/guide Jr resources within the organization. There will be frequent stakeholder communications with both technical and non-technical audiences. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, domain experts, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements, define objectives, and deliver actionable insights

Required Skills & Experience

• Expertise with Python, SQL, and Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP - GCP preferred)
• Master's Degree
• 8-10 total years of Data Scientist experience, with at least 5-8yrs working in a business environment to deliver analytical projects for business stakeholders
• Experienced in survey design and sampling, survey analytics, using a tool such as Qualtrics (or other popular survey tools)
• Experienced in building ML and predictive models
• Excellent communication with technical and especially with non-technical business stakeholders, ability to summarize and distill insights
Highly Desired
• Hands-on Gen AI / LLM work
• Production ML and MLOps experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Public health background
• Expertise in health disparity data and analytics
