An employer is looking for an Elasticsearch Administrator to sit remotely. The client is modernizing one of their critical tier 0 applications and moving the data from on prem Oracle to GCP Cloud. They are implementing Elasticsearch in the application to enhance search capabilities for pharmacists when filling prescriptions.
Responsibilities:
Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Elasticsearch and Cross-Cluster Replication (CCR), ensuring data consistency, availability, and seamless replication across clusters
Optimize applications by implementing industry best practices to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability
Perform system upgrades and implement bug fixes to enhance the stability, performance, and security of Elasticsearch environments
Provide support to application teams in managing Elasticsearch indexes and documents, ensuring optimal data organization, accessibility, and performance
Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Elasticsearch and its associated components to ensure efficient, reliable, and automated deployment processes
Enhance GitHub Actions pipelines to support Cross-Cluster Replication (CCR), streamline upgrade processes, and integrate storage bucket management for improved automation and operational efficiency
Manage and update version tags across all Elasticsearch components (search/Kibana/filebeat/Metricbeat/operator/exporter) to ensure consistency, compatibility, and alignment with the latest supported releases
Administer and maintain API keys for users, ensuring secure access control and adherence to organizational policies and best practices
