Job Description
Insight Global's healthcare client is hiring for a Lead FHIR Business Analyst. Candidates will start in a hands-on role focused on mapping healthcare transactions to FHIR standards. They will analyze incoming specs, create detailed mapping documents, and collaborate with engineering teams to validate transformations. They will also author CQL logic to support decision-making workflows and ensure compliance with interoperability regulations. Once the solution moves into production, they will transition into a technical lead role—owning program governance, standards, and release management while mentoring others on FHIR and CQL best practices.

Required Skills & Experience
• Healthcare domain experience (payer/provider workflows, prior authorization, claims, eligibility).
• FHIR expertise, including:
• Proven FHIR mapping experience (transaction-to-FHIR resource conversion).
• Understanding of FHIR transactions and profiles (e.g., US Core, Da Vinci).
• Ability to take a spec for an incoming transaction and map it to FHIR end-to-end.
• CQL (Clinical Quality Language) experience—authoring and testing logic.
• Hands-on approach: willing to roll up sleeves and do mapping work.
• Experience with compliance-driven projects (interoperability regulations, audit readiness).
Strong BA fundamentals: requirements gathering, user stories, acceptance criteria, stakeholder facilitation.
