A healthcare insurance provider is looking for a Data Engineer to join their team. There is a preference for this person to be local to CT, but can be remote for the right candidate. This Data Engineer will be working within the data warehouse on premise supporting both production and new builds. They will be working with IT partners in the US, Canada, and India. The Data Engineer must have experience with Ab Initio and Data Warehousing in parallel processing environments, and have working knowledge of mainframe and midrange environments such as Unix, Linux, Ab Initio, and Data Warehousing coding, testing, and debugging. This person should have overall strong analytical and software development skills couples with strong communication skills and business acumen. This person will be responsible for performing ongoing system maintenance, research, problem resolution, and on-call support tasks for existing systems.
