Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a President to lead a biomedical device company in Guilford, CT. The company has been family owned for 40 years and engineers life saving medical equipment, most notably ventilators and oxygen blenders. As the president, you would oversee the company's 70 employees, operations, P&L, and drive business development.
The President serves as the chief executive of the company, responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and financial stewardship. This role is particularly critical in a family-owned business environment, balancing professional management practices with the values, vision, and legacy of the family owners. The President ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, drives growth in the competitive medical device industry, and maintains a culture of quality, innovation, and customer focus.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP
• Develop and implement the company’s strategic plan in alignment with the owners’ vision.
• Identify growth opportunities, including new product development, partnerships, and market expansion.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics.
OPERATIONAL & FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
• Oversee day-to-day operations across manufacturing, supply chain, sales, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs.
• Ensure financial health of the company through effective budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Present regular performance updates to the owner with transparency and actionable insights.
REGULATORY & QUALITY OVERSIGHT
• Ensure compliance with FDA, EU MDR, ISO, and other relevant global regulatory frameworks.
• Uphold and continually improve the company’s quality systems and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Support risk management, post-market surveillance, and incident response processes.
PEOPLE & CULTURE
• Lead by example, fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Attract, develop, and retain top talent in engineering, operations, and commercial functions.
• Balance professional management with the family-owned culture, ensuring alignment of company and family values.
CUSTOMER & MARKET ENGAGEMENT
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, hospital systems, and key opinion leaders.
• Oversee marketing, branding, and sales initiatives to expand the company’s market presence.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and professional associations.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field required; Advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in the medical device or life sciences industry. Alternatively, candidates from a similarly highly regulated industry such as Aerospace Engineering may be considered.
• Demonstrated success in managing P&L, operations, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and global regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically while managing hands-on operational details.
