Job Description

Overview
Insight Global is seeking a Post‑Shakedown Availability (PSA) Supervisor to support critical submarine construction efforts. This role sits at the center of Post-Shakedown Availability planning and execution following initial vessel delivery and is highly visible to both senior leadership and the customer.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced program or construction leader who thrives in complex, cross‑functional environments and is ready to build and lead a growing team during a critical phase of the program lifecycle.

Day to Day
• Serve as the primary interface with the customer for PSA planning and execution activities
• Lead development and execution of the overall PSA strategy, including work deferral, scope adjudication, and contracting approach
• Own PSA schedule integration and ensure approved work scope fits within the availability window
• Coordinate with Engineering to assess design maturity and impacts to PSA and end‑game delivery work
• Partner with Facilities, Waterfront Operations, and Naval Architecture to plan docking, mooring, infrastructure, and space requirements
• Work closely with Supply Chain and Materials teams to identify and secure long‑lead items
• Establish and lead a cross‑functional Change Management Team to manage deferred, emergent, and configuration‑driven work
• Develop and track program metrics related to readiness, schedule health, material status, and execution risk
• Build and lead a team of 3–4 direct reports within a broader PSA organization of approximately 25 people
• Communicate status, risks, and recovery plans to senior leadership and customer stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related Science discipline
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in project management, construction management, or a similar execution‑focused role
• Strong understanding of construction or availability execution and program controls
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
• Ability to work onsite in Groton, CT

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses
• Experience with scheduling tools and integrated master schedules
• Contract negotiation or government contracting experience
• Requirements tracing or scope adjudication experience
• Understanding of ship operations and waterfront execution
• Shipbuilding, submarine, or Navy program background
• Facilities or shipyard infrastructure planning experience
