Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Procurement Manager to join an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction company based in Glastonbury, CT. The Procurement Manager will play a key role in supporting project execution by managing the full lifecycle of procurement activities. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure materials, equipment, and services are sourced efficiently and meet project requirements. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Reviewing EPC contracts to understand project needs and procurement obligations
Creating and maintaining procurement schedules and delivery timelines
Preparing RFPs, bid packages, and contract documents tailored to each project
Identifying qualified suppliers and issuing requests for quotes and proposals
Leading communication with bidders, answering questions, and ensuring timely submissions
Evaluating bids, negotiating pricing and terms, and selecting vendors in coordination with engineering and project teams
Finalizing contracts and ensuring proper documentation and approvals are in place
Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors
Collaborating with engineering, legal, accounting, and field teams to align procurement with project goals
Supporting cost estimating efforts for new business opportunities and assisting with change order documentation

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Strong technical aptitude in materials/equipment in relation to construction industry
Proficiency in contract negotiation, supplier management, and cross-functional coordination
Proficiency in Excel, and other MS Office products
Willingness to travel ~10% annually to project sites and suppliers
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Prior experience in the power generation industry
Background in engineering or project controls for deeper industry understanding
Proven long-term tenure at previous companies
