Job Description

This role supports the Underwriting Team by preparing new and renewal business files, ensuring accurate documentation and timely data input. It involves maintaining strong relationships with brokers, regional sales executives, and clients, while tracking requests and payments to prevent cancellations. The candidate will process certificates of insurance and loss history requests within 48 hours. They will collaborate with Finance and Underwriting to manage overdue invoices and communicate billing details to insureds. Responsibilities also include generating reports for Underwriting and Business Development, handling project-based tasks, and responding to correspondence from external parties. The role requires professional communication skills and participation in training Associate Policyholder Service Specialists. Key competencies include customer service, phone acumen for handling coverage inquiries, and understanding insurance policy documents. Additional tasks involve accurate data entry, preparing policy packets, and running scheduled system reports.

Required Skills & Experience

Underwriting Assistant or Insurance Agency Account Manager experience
Medical Professional Liability Insurance or Healthcare Experience
Understanding of insurance information systems (underwriting, billing, etc.) preferred
Holds P&C license
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task and work independently

Bachelors Degree
