Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Project Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background to support a leading manufacturing company based in Glastonbury, CT. This role plays a key part in project development and execution, ensuring smooth coordination across engineering, procurement, and field operations. Key Responsibilities:

-Review and approve project specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.

-Coordinate procurement activities and vendor documentation to support timely and compliant project delivery.

-Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and contractors to align tasks, schedules, and overall project goals.

-Maintain comprehensive engineering documentation and prepare technical reports and project updates.

-Travel to project sites as needed to support project execution and resolve technical issues.

Required Skills & Experience

- Experience leading mechanical engineering efforts for power generation systems and infrastructure.

- Coordinated with cross-functional teams including electrical, civil, and controls engineers.

- Has overseen design reviews, vendor selection, and equipment specifications.

- Conducted site visits to ensure project alignment and troubleshoot field issues.

- Managed project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

- Familiarity with ASME codes, piping systems, rotating equipment, and thermal systems.

- Strong communication and organizational skills.

- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 40%.
