Job Description

We are looking for 1 Level 2 Inpatient Certified Coder for our large healthcare client in Connecticut. They will focus on reviewing inpatient clinical documentation and assigning accurate diagnosis and procedure codes for complex cases. This position is 100% remote and part of the clients centralized Inpatient coding team.

Required Skills & Experience

• Certification- CCS (Certified Coding Specialist)
• Experience with EPIC, Optum AS (inpatient coding program)
• 2-4 years working experience with Complex Cases: Handle high-dollar and multifaceted accounts (upwards of $250k) , including:
o Interventional radiology & cardiology, Cardiovascular surgeries, Major transplants, Neurovascular surgeries, Level 1 trauma cases
• Experience charting IC9/10 & DRG codes
• Ability to chart 2-3 charts per hour
• Tech Savvy- using Microsoft Teams & PowerPoint

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Comparable hospital acuity system on resume- Example: Yale New Haven Health
