Job Description

Insight Global seeks a Staff Design Engineer to join a leader in hydrogen fuel cells and energy solutions. The companies headquarters is in East Hartford, CT and the role is hybrid (2-3 days a week in office). The ideal candidate will come from a mechanical engineering and design background typically within the power generation, utility, electromechanical or oil & gas industries. Day to day , they will be focused on supporting new product development in order to help scale the clients new technology into production. They will be responsible for the execution of the overall systems design, development, and integration of mechanical, structural, and thermal systems for hydrogen-based energy systems. The candidate will support process piping designs, pipe and tube welded assemblies and the design of pressure vessels to name a few. They must have knowledge of CAD software such as PTC Creo, NX or Solidworks. The ideal candidate must also have worked with PLM software such as Windchill.

Required Skills & Experience

-7+ years of related mechanical/design engineering experience

-Bachelor's or Master's degree in related discipline

-Robust process and systems understanding of complex designs

-Design experience with Process Piping Designs & Pipe and Tube Welded Assemblies

-CAD software experience specifically with PTC CREO, NX or Solidworks. Experience with PLM software such as Windchill

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience with Ansys for structural analysis

-Project leadership experience in fuel cell or electromechanical design
