Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Release Train Engineer / Requirements Manager to lead program execution planning and requirements management for the Externals team at a large commercial/military aircraft manufacturing company in East Hartford, CT. This candidate will contribute to the MSEN (Mechanical Systems, Externals & Nacelles) Module Center.
This role combines systems engineering oversight with Agile program coordination to ensure successful delivery of roadmap milestones, compliance tracking, and cross-functional alignment in support of next-generation aerospace propulsion systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all program requirements for the Externals group, including compliance tracking and closure documentation.
- Define and maintain the CIPT (Component Integrated Product Team) roadmap and milestones in alignment with overall program execution.
- Identify and resolve roadmap gaps or escalate risks as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of inputs and outputs across disciplines and schedules.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8 years of experience in product development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in requirements management and systems engineering.
- Strong project planning, risk management, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and program execution planning.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Secret clearance preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or similar Agile leadership role.
- Background in Externals hardware or aerospace systems (automotive/medical device/manufacturing hardware are options too)
- Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama).
- Exposure to digital engineering and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools.
