Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an entry-level Process Chemistry Engineer to support an Aerospace client located in East Hartford, CT. The ideal candidate will work on a collaborative team within Materials & Processes Engineering, supporting chemical process development for aerospace components.
This role will focus on developing, improving, and troubleshooting chemical processes such as priming, painting, electroplating, cleaning, etching, anodizing, and corrosion-resistant coatings on various alloys. The engineer will support laboratory work, process validation, and full product lifecycle activities including development, manufacturing, and aftermarket support.

Required Skills & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry. A minimum of 4 years of experience, preferably in a laboratory.
- Surface Finishing Experience
- Ability to work in a laboratory setting, making chemical solutions, preforming experiments, processing parts.
- Ability to create test plans, document work, and communicating to engineering customers.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in an engineering environment with knowledge of Pratt & Whitney (P&W) specifications and SPOPs (Service Process Operation Procedures) or SAE AMS surface treatment specifications is desired.
