Insight Global is seeking a entry-level Inventory & Materials Planning Engineer to support an Aerospace client located in East Hartford, CT. The ideal candidate will work as part of a collaborative team of scientists, engineers, and technicians supporting Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) operations, tooling coordination, and field activities.
This role will focus on supporting field and operational engineering activities through hands-on work and coordination of tooling and calibration processes. The entry-level Inventory & Materials Planning Engineer will assist with tooling management, annual calibration activities, inventory tracking, shipping coordination, and purchase order (PO) support, while maintaining accurate documentation, shipping memos, and Excel trackers. The candidate must be comfortable working independently while contributing to a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment and adhering to established instructions and procedures.

Required Skills & Experience
- 0-3 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or inventory support.
- Bachelor's degree (engineering degree preferred but flexible)
- Strong Excel Skills (spreadsheets, trackers, documentation)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with tooling, calibration processes, inventory tracking, or shipping coordination.
- Experience supporting purchase orders (POs)
- Willingness to travel domestically or internationally if needed
