Job Description

• Utilize GD&T knowledge to create CMM inspection programs for the Module Center departments

• Support the CMM Programming team in ensuring product and process compliance by providing CMM Programming solutions per our quality procedural requirements

• Create standard work procedures for CMM, and non-contact inspection

• Drive product and process improvements that ensure Module Center’s quality metric goals are met

• Foster and maintain a cooperative relationship with Module Center departments including other Quality and Manufacturing personnel.


• Develop, validate, and maintain CMM inspection programs for aerospace components, tooling, and fixtures.

• Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections.

• Create operator-friendly programs and setup documentation to improve repeatability and reduce inspection time.

• Support root cause investigations, MRB activities, and corrective action initiatives.

• Maintain calibration awareness and ensure compliance with aerospace quality requirements and internal procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

Not ALL software experience required - we will take one of the following:

• Program and troubleshoot CMMs using:
o CAMIO
o PC-DMIS
o MODUS
o PMI-driven inspection methodologies

• 5+ years of CMM programming experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong manual layout inspection background using precision measuring equipment.

• Proficient understanding of:
o GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
o CMM Operation & Troubleshooting
o Blueprint interpretation
o Dimensional inspection techniques
o First Article Inspection (AS9102)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.

• Pratt & Whitney, Collins Aerospace, Raytheon, or other aerospace OEM/supplier experience.

• Experience with blade, vane, airfoil, machined, cast, or forged aerospace components.
