Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Test Technician who builds, maintains, and improves production test fixtures used for electrical testing in a manufacturing environment. This role includes troubleshooting fixtures to the component level, performing repairs, and identifying opportunities to enhance test efficiency, reliability, and throughput. The technician works with minimal supervision and supports production needs promptly.

Key Responsibilities
• Build, assemble, and validate production electrical test fixtures
• Troubleshoot and repair test fixtures, wire harnesses, and electrical assemblies
• Diagnose electrical failures using schematics, drawings, and test documentation
• Identify and implement improvements to testing repeatability, efficiency, and throughput
• Support production teams by addressing fixture‑related issues quickly
• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, modifications, and improvements
• Communicate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands‑on skills with common hand tools
• Proficient with electronic test equipment (digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators)
• Solid understanding of AC/DC electrical theory
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems down to the component level
• Able to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and test documentation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Understanding of electrical systems used in automotive applications
• Familiarity with production or manufacturing environments
• Experience supporting high‑volume or production‑level electrical testing
