Job Description

Insight global is seeking a remote BLE App Developer to build mobile apps for iOS and Android that connect to BLE-enabled hardware.

What you’ll do:
- Build and maintain mobile apps that communicate with BLE devices.
- Work with firmware engineers to define how the app talks to the hardware.
- Make sure the app syncs data with cloud services.
- Optimize the app for battery life and reliable BLE connections.
- Troubleshoot and fix connectivity and data transfer problems.
- Test BLE features and manage app releases.
- Implement security features and support firmware updates over BLE

Required Skills & Experience

- 5 years of experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology
- 5+yrs of Mobile App Development
- Ability to design and build mobile apps for iOS (Swift or Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin or Java) that connect to BLE hardware.
- Skilled in setting up BLE communication: scanning, connecting, discovering services, reading/writing data, and handling notifications.
- Comfortable with mobile app architecture, using Git for version control, and applying design patterns like MVVM or MVP.
- Knowledge in integrating apps with backend APIs (RESTful, GraphQL) and handle data formats like JSON or XML.
- Experience with troubleshooting BLE issues using tools like sniffers and mobile debuggers.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with Ublox NORA-B120 or Murata
- LBEE5PL2DL-921 BLE modules.
- Familiar with OTA (Over-The-Air) firmware updates via BLE.
- Experience with cross-platform mobile frameworks (Flutter, React Native).
- Understands mobile app deployment for both Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Knowledge of BLE security: data integrity, authentication, encryption.
