Job Description
Act as a technical lead for Palo Alto security initiatives, providing best practices and guidance.
Conduct SecOps reviews: evaluate current state and design solutions for improved security posture.
Work on IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection & Prevention Systems):
Define and implement best-practice policies for appropriate security features.
Tune IPS policies based on organizational needs (e.g., Cigna standards).
Collaborate closely with Palo Alto engineers and internal teams.
Support future planning for cloud migration and AI-driven security tools.
Assist with legacy tool modernization and transition to new platforms.
Provide hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
Participate in release support every other week (some late-night work required).
Help reduce backlog and optimize tuning processes.

Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Palo Alto Networks Security Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of IDS/IPS policy creation and tuning.
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and security products.
Familiarity with SecOps best practices and enterprise security architecture.
Experience supporting production releases and troubleshooting post-deployment issues.
Knowledge of cloud security and emerging AI security tools is a plus
